Add-ons: numbers, messaging, international
Ody has three recurring add-ons — additional phone numbers ($5/month each), messaging-enabled numbers ($4/month each), and international calling ($5/month) — plus a one-time $20 messaging setup fee per number. Number and messaging add-ons bill automatically as you use them; international calling is a switch you flip.
Plans bought in the iPhone app
Add-ons are billed as extra line items on a web (Stripe) subscription, which App Store plans don't have. A plan bought in the iPhone app includes one phone number; adding a second number shows "Additional phone numbers aren't available on plans billed through the App Store yet", and messaging add-ons aren't offered. All add-ons are available on every plan and share your subscription's billing period, so everything lands on one consolidated invoice with automatic proration.
Billing follows your numbers automatically
You generally don't manage add-on quantities by hand:
- Buy a second number → the additional-number add-on is added to your subscription for it.
- Your messaging registration gets carrier approval → each local number becomes messaging-enabled, the $4/month messaging add-on covers it, and the $20 setup fee is charged once per number on your next invoice.
- Nothing messaging-related is billed while your registration is still in review or if it was rejected.
The exception is international calling: it's a single on/off add-on you enable yourself in its own Settings → International calling tab. It comes with its own balance and auto top-up controls — see International calling for how usage billing works.
See and adjust add-ons
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Billing.
Scroll to the Add-ons section. Each add-on shows its per-unit price and a quantity stepper.
Use the + and − controls to change a quantity. You must be an admin or owner, and reductions below what your current numbers require (or below your commitment during an active term) aren't allowed.
