Billing on the iOS app
You can subscribe to Ody directly in the iPhone app through the App Store, and manage or cancel that subscription from Settings โ Billing โ Manage subscription (or iPhone Settings โ Subscriptions). Plans bought on the web at app.ody.co are still managed on the web.
Two ways to pay โ one workspace
Every workspace is billed in exactly one place, decided by where you bought the plan:

Signing in on the other platform never moves your billing. The web shows an App Store plan read-only ("managed through the App Store"), and the iPhone app shows a web plan read-only ("managed on the web").
Subscribe from the iPhone app
- During signup, on Choose your plan, pick a tier and Monthly or Annual.
- Under Pay with, leave App Store selected (it's the default) and tap Start free trial. The App Store payment sheet opens โ confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
- Already have a workspace with no active plan? Open Settings โ Billing, choose a plan under Choose a plan, keep App Store under Pay with, and tap Subscribe.
Prefer to pay by card on the web instead โ for example because you'll need team seats? Choose Web checkout under Pay with: the prices on the plan cards switch to the web prices, and Continue on the web opens app.ody.co in Safari to add your card, then brings you back to the app. That plan is then billed by Ody through Stripe and managed on the web.
Your trial starts immediately and Apple charges the plan price when it ends unless you cancel. Apple emails you a receipt; your Ody invoices for App Store plans live in your Apple purchase history, not on app.ody.co.
Manage, change or cancel
- Open Ody, go to Settings โ Billing.
- Tap Manage subscription. Apple's subscription sheet opens where you can switch tiers, change monthly/annual, or Cancel Subscription.
Cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the current period (or the end of the trial), then calling and texting pause. Your conversations, contacts and settings are kept so you can resubscribe later.
You can also do this from iPhone Settings โ your name โ Subscriptions โ Ody.
Restore purchases
If you reinstall the app, switch phones, or a purchase didn't register, open Settings โ Billing and tap Restore purchases. Ody asks the App Store for your subscription and links it back to your workspace.
What needs the web
Team features are billed per seat, which App Store subscriptions can't do. For these, use a plan bought on the web at app.ody.co โ Settings โ Billing:
- Inviting teammates (seats) โ Add seats for team members
- Extra phone numbers and messaging add-ons โ Add-ons: extra numbers and messaging
- Invoices, card updates and cancellation of a web plan โ Cancel your subscription
If you started on the App Store and now need a team: cancel the App Store subscription (see above), wait for it to end, then choose a team plan at app.ody.co. During signup (or on Settings โ Billing when no plan is active) you can also choose Web checkout under Pay with to pay on the web from the start.
Troubleshooting
- "This workspace already has a plan billed on the web" โ you (or a teammate) subscribed at app.ody.co. Manage that plan there; the App Store can't take over an active web plan.
- "This purchase was made for a different workspace" โ the Apple ID's subscription belongs to another Ody workspace. Sign in to that workspace, or cancel it in iPhone Settings before subscribing here.
- Payment problem banner โ Apple couldn't renew your subscription. Update your payment method in iPhone Settings โ your name โ Payment & Shipping; Ody keeps access during Apple's grace period.
- Refunds โ App Store purchases are refunded by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. See Refunds: policy and requests.
- Deleting your account with an active App Store plan โ cancel the subscription in iPhone Settings first; Ody can't cancel Apple subscriptions for you. See Delete your account or workspace.

Can I subscribe to Ody from the iPhone app?
Yes. The plan step during signup โ and Settings โ Billing afterwards โ lets you subscribe through the App Store with your Apple ID. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
How do I cancel a plan I bought in the iPhone app?
Open Ody โ Settings โ Billing โ Manage subscription, or go to iPhone Settings โ your name โ Subscriptions โ Ody โ Cancel Subscription. The web can't cancel an App Store subscription.
Can I add teammates to a plan bought through the App Store?
Not yet. App Store plans cover one seat and one phone number. For a team, cancel the App Store subscription and choose a team plan at app.ody.co โ or choose Web checkout under Pay with during signup.
I reinstalled the app and my plan is gone.
Open Settings โ Billing and tap Restore purchases. Your Apple ID's Ody subscription is re-linked to your workspace in a few seconds.
