Pick your business number
Step 3 of signup is where you choose your business line: search live available US numbers by area code, or claim a toll-free number.
The wizard reserves your pick — nothing is purchased until your plan is active and you confirm the number inside the app (Confirm your number to go live).
Step-by-step
On the Pick your phone number step, choose a number type with the Local / Toll-free / Vanity selector at the top.
For a local number, type the 3-digit Area code you want. The list below live-searches available numbers as you type.
Click a number in the list to select it — a checkmark appears next to your pick.
Click Continue.
Troubleshooting
- "No numbers found for area code …" — that area code has no inventory right now. Try a neighboring area code, or switch to Toll-free.
- Not sure which number to take? — you can switch to a different number later, right up until you confirm and activate it after checkout.

Am I charged for the number now?
No. Signup only reserves your pick — the number is purchased and activated after your plan starts, when you confirm it in the app.
Can I get more than one number?
Yes — every plan includes one number, and you can add more later from Settings → Numbers.
Can I bring my existing number instead?
Yes. Pick any number to finish signup, then port your existing number in from Settings → Numbers → Port a number.
