Confirm your number to go live
The first time you enter your activated workspace, Ody asks you to confirm the phone number you reserved during signup — one click activates it as your live business line.
Only owners and admins see this step. It's mandatory (your workspace needs its number), but it's quick.
Step-by-step
When the app opens, the Activate your business number dialog shows the number you reserved.
Happy with it? Click Confirm & activate. The number is purchased on your plan (it's included — no extra charge for your first number) and goes live immediately.
Want a different one? Click Switch number, search by Area code or switch to Toll-free, click a number, then Use this number → Confirm & activate.
Once the number is live you'll get a confirmation, and Ody offers a quick 6-step tour of the app — take it, or press Skip tour.
Troubleshooting
- "We couldn't activate …— it may no longer be available" — the reserved number was taken in the meantime. The dialog stays open: click Switch number and pick a fresh one.
- You see a "Choose your business number" search instead of a confirmation — your reservation didn't survive setup. Just pick a number in the search; the result is the same.
- A teammate doesn't see the dialog — expected. Only owners and admins can activate numbers; members enter the app directly.

Why do I have to confirm — didn't I already pick a number?
Signup only reserves your pick; confirming is what actually purchases and activates the line. It's an explicit step so a number is never bought without your say-so.
Can I skip this and do it later?
No — your workspace needs its number to go live, so the confirmation can't be dismissed. It only takes one click.
My reserved number is gone. What happened?
Available numbers aren't held forever — occasionally one is taken between reservation and activation. Click Switch number and pick another; your plan and setup are unaffected.
