Set up a phone menu on your number
Turn any number into an auto-attendant from Settings → Numbers: open the number's Phone menu editor, write a greeting, map digits to destinations, and click Turn on menu.
For multi-step setups — a business-hours check before the menu, sub-menus, announcements, named voicemail boxes — use a call flow instead. It starts from presets and does everything a phone menu does.
Before you start
- Phone menus (IVR) are included on the Growth and Enterprise plans.
- Only owners and admins can edit menus.
Step-by-step
Click Settings in the left sidebar, then Numbers.
Find the number and click its Phone menu chip. The editor expands below the card.
Write the GREETING — this is spoken to every caller, so state the options: "Thanks for calling. Press 1 for sales, 2 for support."
Under WHEN THE CALLER PRESSES…, set each digit's destination: Forward to number (enter the outside number), Ring my team, Take a voicemail, or AI agent answers.
Click Add option to map more digits — up to twelve (1–9, 0, *, #), each used once.
Click Turn on menu. The number's mode changes to Phone menu (IVR) and a LIVE badge appears in the editor.
Call your number to hear the menu and test each option.
Callers who don't press anything go to voicemail — make sure your voicemail greeting is set.

Can each of my numbers have a different menu?
Yes — menus are configured per number, so your main line and a support line can offer different options.
How do I turn the menu off?
