Port your number away from Ody
Updated Tue Aug 04 2026 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Porting a number away from Ody starts with your new provider, not in the Ody app — they submit the port request, and Ody support provides the account information their form asks for.
How it works
- Sign up with your new provider and start a port-in request there for your Ody number.
- Their form will ask for the losing carrier's account number and PIN/passcode. Contact Ody support to get these for your workspace — there's no self-serve port-out screen in the app today.
- Provide the service details exactly as support gives them to you — mismatched details are the most common cause of rejected ports.
- The new carrier schedules the transfer. Your number keeps working on Ody until the port completes.
After the port
- The number is removed from your workspace once it transfers.
- Porting out does not cancel your Ody subscription — manage your plan in Settings → Billing if you're closing the workspace.

Frequently asked questions
Do I start the port-out in Ody?
No — port-outs always start with the carrier you're moving TO. They submit the request; Ody's side is approving it, and support gives you the account details their form needs.
Will my Ody service stop immediately?
The number leaves Ody when the port completes. Cancel your subscription separately if you're leaving entirely — porting out doesn't cancel billing on its own.
