Buy a phone number
Buy numbers from Settings → Numbers: search by area code, pick from the live results, and the number is ordered and added to your workspace immediately.
Before you start
- Only owners and admins can buy numbers.
- Your plan includes one number; extra numbers bill as a $5/month add-on each (see Add additional numbers).
Step-by-step
Click Settings in the left sidebar, then Numbers.
Click Buy a number at the top-right of the "Your numbers" list.
Enter an area code (e.g. 512) and click Search. Available numbers appear with their region and monthly cost.
Click Buy next to the number you want. It's ordered and appears in "Your numbers" — active numbers can take calls right away.
Configure how the new line answers with the chips on its card: Ring order, Voicemail, Phone menu, or Connect AI.
To text from a local number, complete 10DLC messaging registration — calls work immediately, texting is gated until your business is registered with US carriers.
