Verify your mobile number
The last step before your workspace opens confirms it's really you: Ody texts a 6-digit one-time code to your mobile number, and you enter it to finish.
This runs after checkout and after the identity check, on the same welcome page — you're not asked for a phone number until you've already chosen your plan. It's a quick anti-spam check on your personal mobile; it is not the business number you picked during setup. Once verified, the number is stored on your account as verified and never shared.
Step-by-step
After your identity check is submitted, the welcome page shows Confirm your mobile number with the badge Identity submitted · 1 step left.
Check the flag on the left of the Your mobile number field. Ody pre-selects your country from your browser (for example 🇺🇸 +1 or 🇬🇧 +44). If it's wrong, tap the flag, then search by country name or prefix and pick yours.
Type your mobile number the way you'd dial it at home. You don't need the country code, and a leading 0 (common in the UK, France, Germany…) is removed automatically.
Tap Text me a code. You'll see "Code sent to +… — enter the 6 digits."
Type the 6-digit code from the text message into the code boxes. They advance as you type, you can paste the whole code, and it checks itself when the sixth digit lands — no extra button.
On success you'll see Number verified ✓ and the page moves to Congrats, you're all set. Click Get started to enter the app.
If you closed the tab before finishing, sign back in at app.ody.co — the same Verify your mobile to finish setup screen appears until it's done. Teammates you invited see "Almost there — the owner still has to verify a mobile number" until then.
Troubleshooting
- The Resend button shows a countdown — you can request a new code once per minute. Wait for the timer, then tap Resend code.
- "That doesn't look like a complete mobile number for the selected country" — check the flag first: the most common cause is the right digits under the wrong country. Then make sure you typed the full number.
- "We can't text numbers in that country" — verification codes go to mobile numbers in the Americas, Europe and Oceania. If your mobile is elsewhere, contact support and we'll verify you manually. See Supported countries.
- "That code isn't right or has expired" — enter the most recent code you received; older codes stop working once a new one is sent.
- Too many wrong guesses — each code allows a limited number of attempts. Request a new code and try again.

Frequently asked questions
Why does Ody need my personal mobile number?
It's an anti-fraud check: confirming a real mobile keeps spammers out of Ody and protects the sending reputation of everyone's business numbers. It is not the business number you picked earlier.
Do I have to type my country code?
No. The country is detected from your browser and shown as a flag with its prefix (for example 🇺🇸 +1 or 🇬🇧 +44). Tap the flag to change it, then type your number the way you'd dial it at home — the leading 0 is fine.
I never got the code — what now?
Check the number and country are correct, wait for the resend timer, then tap Resend code. Codes can take a minute on some carriers. If your country isn't supported for SMS, contact support and we'll verify you manually.
Can I use a landline or VoIP number?
Use a mobile number that can receive SMS — landlines can't receive the text message.
