Change your language in Ody
Updated Fri Aug 14 2026 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
Ody's interface is available in eight languages: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Filipino (Tagalog), Vietnamese, Arabic, French, and Korean. By default Ody matches your browser's language — but you can pick one yourself, and your choice wins everywhere you're signed in.
Step-by-step
- Click Settings in the sidebar.
- Under Account, click Profile.
- Find the Language section.
- Pick your language from the list — each language is shown in its own name (Español, 简体中文, Français…).
- The app switches immediately. Your choice is saved to your account, so the iOS app and any other browser you sign in from follow it too.
To go back to automatic detection, choose Automatic — match my browser.
What changes — and what doesn't
- Changes: the app interface, this help center (use the language menu in the top-right corner of help.ody.co), and the AI support chat, which answers in your language.
- Doesn't change: your call transcripts, voicemails, customer messages, and Astra's conversations with your callers — those stay in the language your callers actually use.
- Arabic switches the whole interface to right-to-left layout automatically.
Troubleshooting
- The app is in the wrong language and I never picked one — Ody is following your browser's preferred language. Either change your browser's language settings or pick a language explicitly in Settings → Profile → Language.
- My phone shows a different language than my computer — make sure you're signed in on both; the setting syncs through your account. On iOS you can also set a device-specific override (see the iOS article below).
