Messages not sending

The most common reason a text won't send is 10DLC: sending from a local US number is blocked until your workspace's messaging registration is approved — the error toast tells you which stage you're at.
Checks, in order
- Read the error. When a send is refused, the toast is specific:
- "…isn't set up yet" — you haven't registered. Go to Settings → Numbers → Text messaging setup and complete it (step-by-step).
- "…still in carrier review" — registration is submitted and pending. Brand vetting takes minutes–hours; campaign review typically 1–3 business days. Click Check status on the card to refresh.
- "…failed — review and resubmit" — your registration was rejected. The card shows the exact reasons; click Edit & resubmit.
- Check the registration card. Settings → Numbers → Text messaging setup shows your stage on a 4-step rail: Business info → Campaign → Carrier review → Texting live. Texting works only at Texting enabled.
- Check the destination. Messaging covers US and Canadian numbers. Use the full format (+1XXXXXXXXXX) or a plain 10-digit US number.
- Confirm the number is active. In Settings → Numbers, the sending number's status should read active.
Once your campaign is approved, sending turns on automatically everywhere — the inbox, the API, and integrations — with no further setup.

Frequently asked questions
Why can I receive texts but not send them?
Receiving doesn't require registration; sending from a local number does. Complete 10DLC registration in Settings → Numbers → Text messaging setup.
My registration is approved but a send just failed — now what?
Check the destination number's format (+1 for US/Canada) and try again. If sends keep failing with texting enabled, contact support with the time of the failed send.
