Upgrade or change your plan
You change plans from Settings → Billing — pick a different tier (or billing period) and your existing subscription updates in place, with the price difference prorated automatically.
Before you start
- You must be a workspace admin or owner to change the plan.
- This applies to plans bought on the web. If you subscribed in the iPhone app (billed by Apple), change tiers from Ody → Settings → Billing → Manage subscription — see Billing on iOS.
Step-by-step
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Billing. (On your phone: More → Settings → Billing.)
Under Choose a plan, use the Monthly / Annual toggle at the top right to pick your billing period. The annual toggle shows the discounted per-user price and how much you save.
Click the plan card you want — each card shows the per-user price, what the tier adds, and a Switch to [plan] button. Your current plan is marked CURRENT.
The change applies immediately — you'll see a "Plan updated" confirmation and the current-plan card refreshes with your new tier.
How proration works
Because your workspace has a single subscription, switching tiers or periods mid-cycle doesn't restart your billing — Stripe calculates the unused portion of the old price and the remaining portion of the new one, and the difference appears as line items on your next consolidated invoice.
Upgrades vs downgrades
- Upgrading (for example Starter → Growth) unlocks the higher tier's features right away — AI call summaries, analytics, call recording, and so on.
- Downgrading removes access to features above your new tier, but never deletes data. For example, past call recordings remain in your conversations; new calls just aren't auto-recorded on Starter.
- Note that monthly plans carry a 12-month commitment — see Monthly vs annual billing.
- If you subscribed with the 50% off for 6 months offer: switching between Starter and Growth on monthly billing keeps the discount (adjusted to the new plan for the months you have left — the 6 months don't restart); switching to annual or Enterprise ends it, and switching back does not restore it. See The 50% off for 6 months offer.

Frequently asked questions
When does a plan change take effect?
Immediately. Your existing subscription is updated in place and Stripe prorates the difference on your next invoice.
Do I lose data when I downgrade?
No. Downgrading only changes which features you can use going forward — your conversations, contacts, and call history stay.
Can I have two plans at once?
No. A workspace has exactly one subscription; changing plans always updates that one subscription rather than creating a second.
