Your phone number on your invoice
Every Ody invoice shows the phone number(s) billed to your workspace in its header, right under your company name — so when Meta, Google, a payment processor or a directory asks for "a phone bill in the business's name showing the number", your Ody invoice is that document.
Before you start
- Invoices are issued for plans billed on the web (Stripe). A plan bought in the iPhone app is billed by Apple and has no Ody invoice — see Billing on iOS.
- Your company name on the invoice is the name on your billing profile. To change it, click Manage in portal on the current-plan card under Settings → Billing and edit the billing details there.
What's on the invoice
- Company name and billing address — from your billing profile.
- Phone number (or Phone numbers) — every active number in your workspace, oldest first: the number that came with your plan, then any additional local or toll-free numbers, written as
+1 307-800-9107. If you have many numbers they continue in Phone numbers (cont.) fields; past what fits, the last field ends with "+N more". - Billing period — the service dates each line covers (for example Oct 4 – Nov 4).
- Line items — your plan × seats, add-ons and any proration credits. The plan line is named after the plan ("Ody Starter"); the number is in the header above it, not in that line.
Step-by-step
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Billing. (On your phone: More → Settings → Billing.)
Scroll to Billing history and click the invoice for the period the reviewer asked about — usually the most recent Paid one.
Check the chips above the line items: they show the header fields exactly as they print, including Phone number.
Click Download PDF and upload that file to the service you are registering with. View invoice opens the same document online if the reviewer accepts a link.
When your numbers change
Buying a number (or a number landing from a port) updates the header automatically:
- Future invoices carry the new list from the next bill on.
- The invoice for your current billing period — and any unpaid invoice — is updated in place: same invoice number, same amount, refreshed PDF. Download it again from Billing history.
- Invoices for periods that have already ended stay exactly as they were issued.
Troubleshooting
- The number isn't on the invoice I downloaded earlier — download it again from Billing history; the PDF you saved before the update is a snapshot.
- The reviewer wants the number inside the plan line — the plan line is built by Stripe from the plan name and cannot be edited. Point them to the Phone number header field, which is on the same page as the company name, the period and the amount. If a specific service still rejects it, tell support which service and what it asked for.
- The company name is wrong or missing — update your billing details via Manage in portal under Settings → Billing, then download the PDF again.

Frequently asked questions
Where exactly is the number on the invoice?
In the header, directly under your company name and billing address, as a field called Phone number (or Phone numbers when you have several). It is on the PDF, on the online invoice page and in the invoice email — not inside the plan line, which Stripe names after the plan.
Does it include my first number or only the extra ones?
All of your active numbers — the number that came with your plan first, then any additional local or toll-free numbers. Your plan's included number never appears as its own line item because it is part of the seat price, so the header is where it shows.
My current invoice doesn't show the number yet. Do I have to wait for next month?
No. When your numbers change, Ody updates the invoice for the billing period you are in (and any unpaid invoice) in place — same invoice number, same amount, new PDF. Open Settings → Billing → Billing history and download the PDF again. If it still isn't there, ask support through the help widget and we will apply it to that invoice right away.
Can the plan line itself read 'Ody Starter — phone number +1 …'?
Not today. Stripe builds that line from the plan name and does not let it be edited. Reviewers accept the header field: it is on the same page as the company name, the billing period and the amount.
