Reset a forgotten password
If you forgot your Ody password, click Forgot password? on the sign-in page at app.ody.co, enter your email, and open the link we send you to choose a new password. The link works once and for one hour.
Before you start
- This is for accounts that sign in with email and password. If you created your account with Google or Apple, there is no Ody password: use Continue with Google or Sign in with Apple on the sign-in page instead.
- You need access to the inbox of the email you sign in with. If that inbox is gone too, see Change the email you sign in with.
Step-by-step
Go to app.ody.co and make sure you are on the Sign in form (not Create account).
Click Forgot password? under the password field.
Enter the email you sign in with and click Send reset link. You will see Check your inbox: if that address has an Ody account with a password, a link is on its way.
Open the email Reset your Ody password and click Choose a new password. The link opens a page at app.ody.co that shows which account it is for.
Type your new password (at least 8 characters, 128 at most) and confirm it. The strength meter helps you pick a good one.
Click Save password and sign in. Ody saves the password, signs you out of every other device, and signs you in right here.
We also email you a Your Ody password was changed notice every time a password is saved, so you always know.
Troubleshooting
- "This link has expired": links work once and for one hour, and requesting a new link cancels the older ones. Click Request a new link and use the newest email.
- Nothing arrives: wait a minute, check spam, and make sure you entered the exact address on the account. For your privacy the page says the same thing whether or not an account exists, so a typo looks like a slow email.
- You asked several times in a row: after five requests in an hour Ody pauses sending for that account. Use the most recent link, or wait an hour.
- You did not request a reset: nobody can change your password without opening the link in your inbox. Ignore the email, or if you are worried, reply to it from your account address so our team can review.
- Someone on your team is locked out and has no inbox access: an Ody Support agent can send the same reset link from our side, but the link still goes to the account's email. Write to support from an address we can verify.

Will resetting my password sign me out of my phone?
Yes. For your safety every other device is signed out when a new password is saved. Sign in again there with the new password.
Can I reset my password from the iPhone or Android app?
Request the link from the web sign-in page at app.ody.co. The link opens in your phone's browser and works the same way; then use the new password in the app.
