Remove a team member
Owners and admins remove teammates from Settings → Members & roles — click the remove button next to their name; their access ends immediately, and the shared conversation history stays with the workspace.
Before you start
- You must be a workspace owner or admin.
- The last owner can't be removed — promote another owner first if needed.
Step-by-step
- Click Settings in the left rail, then Members & roles.
- Find the person in the members list.
- Click the trash icon at the end of their row (Remove member).
Their seat is freed on your subscription, and all shared data (conversations, calls, contacts, tasks) remains with the workspace.
Cancel a pending invite
Someone invited but not yet joined? Under Pending invites, click Revoke next to the invite — the link stops working immediately.
Leave a workspace yourself
The same trash icon on your own row is labeled Leave workspace. You can't leave if you're the only owner.

Frequently asked questions
Does removing someone reduce my bill?
Yes — plans are per user, so removing a member frees their seat. Stripe prorates the change on your next invoice.
Can the last owner be removed?
No. A workspace must always have at least one owner. Promote someone else to Owner first if the current owner is leaving.
What happens to their conversations?
Nothing is deleted — conversations, calls, and messages belong to the shared workspace and stay in the inbox for the team.
