App not loading or blank screen

A blank or stuck Ody screen is nearly always solved by a hard refresh — if not, work down through connection, browser, extensions, and cached data.

Checks, in order

1. Hard refresh. Reload bypassing the cache: Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows). A stale cached build after a deploy is the most common cause of a blank screen. On a phone, use the browser's reload button — pull-to-refresh is intentionally off inside the app so the screen doesn't bounce or pan while you scroll.
2. Check your connection. Open another site to confirm you're online. On captive Wi-Fi (hotels, airports), complete the network's login page first.
3. Try a private/incognito window. If Ody loads there, the culprit is an extension or stale site data:
   • Extensions — ad blockers and privacy extensions can block the app's scripts or its realtime connection. Allow app.ody.co in the extension, or disable it for this site.
   • Site data — clear cookies and cached data for app.ody.co in your browser settings, then sign in again.
4. Update the browser. Ody supports current Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox — very old versions can fail outright.
5. Corporate networks. Firewalls that block WebSocket connections leave the app half-loaded (a shell with no live data). Test on another network (phone hotspot) to isolate; if that's it, ask IT to allow app.ody.co.
6. Still blank on every browser and network? There may be a service disruption — contact support with your browser, OS, and roughly when it started.
