Update your payment method
You update the card behind your Ody subscription from Settings → Billing, using the Update card on file button — it opens a secure Stripe form and takes under a minute.
Before you start
- You must be a workspace admin or owner.
- Payment methods are managed on the web. From the iPhone app, open app.ody.co in a browser — see Billing on iOS.
Step-by-step
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Billing. (On your phone: More → Settings → Billing.)
On the current-plan card at the top, click Update card on file.
A secure Stripe page opens with the update-card form. Enter your new card details and confirm.
Back in Ody, the new card becomes the default for all future invoices. No charge happens when you swap cards — the new card is simply used at your next renewal.
For anything else payment-related — like reviewing saved payment methods — click Manage in portal next to the update button to open the full Stripe customer portal.
Troubleshooting
- Your subscription shows "Past Due" — a renewal charge failed. Update the card, and Stripe automatically retries the outstanding invoice — or pay it right away from the link in the reminder email. See What happens when a payment fails.
- You don't see the buttons — you're either not an admin/owner, or the workspace's billing is managed through the App Store (iOS-billed workspaces don't show Stripe controls).

Frequently asked questions
Who can update the payment method?
Workspace admins and owners. Regular members can view billing but not change it.
Does Ody store my card number?
No. Cards are stored and processed by Stripe — Ody never sees or stores your card details.
My payment failed — what happens now?
Your subscription is marked past due, Stripe retries the charge, and the account owner receives reminder emails with a link to pay the open invoice directly. Pay or update your card as soon as possible to avoid losing access.
