Billing on the Android app

The Android app lets you pick a plan and pay through a secure web checkout that opens in your browser and brings you back to the app. The plan is then a regular Ody plan billed through Stripe, exactly like one bought at app.ody.co, and you manage, change or cancel it on the web — the app's Billing screen has an Open billing on the web shortcut.

Where your workspace is billed

Every workspace is billed in exactly one place, decided by where the plan was bought:

Signing in on another platform never moves your billing. The Android app shows an App Store plan read-only ("billed by Apple through the Ody iPhone app"), and the iPhone app shows a web plan read-only ("managed on the web").

Subscribe from the Android app

1. During signup, on Choose your plan, pick a tier and Monthly or Annual.
2. Under Pay with, Web checkout is selected (it's the only option on Android today). Tap Continue on the web.
3. Your browser opens a secure Stripe checkout page. Add your card and confirm — the trial starts immediately and nothing is charged until it ends.
4. The page sends you back to the Ody app, which runs the quick card check and identity verification, then lets you confirm your number.

Already have a workspace with no active plan? Open More → Settings → Billing, pick a plan under Choose a plan, and tap Continue on the web.

If you close the browser without paying, the app returns to the plan step so you can try again.

Manage, change or cancel

1. Open Ody, go to More → Settings → Billing.
2. Tap Open billing on the web. app.ody.co opens on the Billing page where you can change tiers, switch monthly/annual, add seats and numbers, update your card, download invoices, or cancel.

Cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the current period (or the end of the trial), then calling and texting pause. Your conversations, contacts and settings are kept so you can resubscribe later.

International calling

The Billing screen also shows your international-calling wallet balance and recent usage read-only. Enabling international calling, adding funds and auto top-up are done on the web at Settings → International calling.

Troubleshooting

• The checkout page opened but the app didn't come back — switch back to Ody manually; it checks your plan when it reopens. If the plan step is still showing, tap Continue on the web again — Stripe won't charge you twice for the same trial.
• "Billed by Apple through the Ody iPhone app" — the workspace's plan lives in an Apple subscription. Manage it on that iPhone (Settings → Subscriptions); the web and Android can't take over an active App Store plan.
• Payment problem banner — your card couldn't be charged. Update it at app.ody.co → Settings → Billing; see What happens when a payment fails.
• Deleting your account with an active plan — cancel the plan on the web first; see Delete your account or workspace.
