Contact notes and activity
Every contact card has a Notes section your whole team can read and a Recent activity feed showing that person's latest calls and messages.
Add or edit notes
- Open Contacts in the left sidebar and select a contact.
- Click the pencil (Edit contact) button.
- Type into the Notes field — context like "Prefers afternoon appointments" or "Spoke with Sam about billing on 6/2".
- Click Save. Notes appear on the contact card for every teammate.
Read the activity feed
The Recent activity section on the contact card lists the contact's latest interactions with your workspace — texts, calls, and voicemails from their linked conversations, newest first. It's the fastest way to get context before you pick up the phone.
For the full back-and-forth, open the conversation itself from the Inbox — the contact card shows the highlights; the inbox thread is the complete record.
Notes here vs. internal notes in a conversation
- Contact notes live on the person: durable facts and preferences.
- Internal notes live in a conversation thread (the Internal tab of the conversation panel): commentary about a specific exchange.
Both are team-only and never visible to the customer.

Frequently asked questions
Can the customer see my notes?
Never. Notes on a contact — like internal notes in a conversation — are visible only to your workspace.
What shows up in Recent activity?
The contact's linked conversation history: inbound and outbound texts, calls, and voicemails, most recent first.
