Call volume and the heat map
The Message volume chart shows activity per day across your selected range, and the Activity heat map breaks it down by weekday and hour — with your busiest window named right above the grid.
Reading the volume chart
- Click Analytics in the left sidebar and pick a range (7 days, 30 days, or Quarter).
- The Message volume bars show activity for each day or bucket in the range, with the count above each bar. Tall bars are your heavy days.
Reading the heat map
The Activity heat map is a grid: rows are weekdays, columns are hours of the day, and cell darkness shows how much was happening. The label in the card's top-right names your busiest window (for example, "Busiest: Tue 10 AM").
A brand-new workspace shows "Your busiest hours will appear here once calls and messages start flowing" until there's real traffic to plot.
Putting it to work
- Staffing — make sure your team is available during the dark cells.
- Astra hours — if evenings light up but nobody's around, point off-hours calls at the AI receptionist. See When Astra answers vs. your team.
- Scheduling around quiet hours — book internal meetings in the pale cells.

Frequently asked questions
What do the heat map colors mean?
Darker cells mean more calls and messages in that hour on that weekday. The label above the grid names your single busiest window outright.
Is the heat map on mobile or iOS?
The visual heat map is desktop web only today. The mobile web CSV export does include the heat map data, so you can still get the numbers on the go.
