Connect an integration to your workspace
Integrations let your workspace link the tools you already use — your CRM, helpdesk, task boards, Slack, and more — so Ody can import contacts, log calls, create tickets and tasks, and post notifications automatically.
Before you start
- You need access to workspace Settings.
- Each connection is per-workspace: connect once and your whole team (and your AI receptionist) can use it.
Step-by-step
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Integrations. You'll see a catalog of tiles, with categories (CRM, Support, Marketing, and more) listed on the left to filter by — the categories stay in view while you scroll. You can also type in the search box to jump straight to a tool by name.
Click the tile of the tool you want. Its page shows exactly what the integration can do — what you can trigger yourself, what your AI receptionist Astra can do on calls, and what happens automatically.
Click Connect. A secure window opens where you sign in to the provider (or paste an API key — the form tells you exactly where to find it in that tool).
Come back to Ody. Within a few seconds the tile shows a green Connected badge.
Some integrations need one more choice — for example which Slack channel or which Mailchimp audience to use. Those options appear as dropdowns right on the integration's page once it's connected.
Coming soon integrations
Some tiles show a Coming soon chip instead of a Connect button. Those integrations are built and on the way — we're finishing the approval process with the vendor. They'll switch to Connect automatically when ready, no update needed on your side. You can still open the tile to see what the integration will do.
Disconnecting
Click Disconnect on a connected integration anytime. Ody immediately stops syncing and revokes its access. Contacts you already imported stay in Ody; nothing is removed from the other platform.
Troubleshooting
- The connect window closed but nothing happened — refresh the Integrations page; if it still isn't connected, try again and complete every step in the provider's window.
- A "Needs attention" badge appears — the provider rejected our access (often a rotated API key or revoked permission). Click Disconnect, then connect again with fresh credentials.

Frequently asked questions
Who can connect an integration?
Any workspace member with access to Settings can connect one. The connection belongs to the workspace, not the person — your whole team benefits.
Does Ody store my password for the other tool?
No. You sign in on the provider's own page (or paste an API key into a secure form). Ody never sees or stores your password.
What happens when I disconnect?
Ody stops syncing and can no longer act on that tool. Contacts already imported stay in Ody; nothing is deleted from the other platform.
