Send photos and attachments (MMS)

You send an MMS by clicking the Attach (paperclip) button in the web composer, picking your files, and sending — attachments ride along with your text.

Before you start

• Texting (including MMS) requires your workspace's Text messaging setup to be complete — see Messaging limits and compliance.
• Attaching files is currently available in the desktop web composer only. On mobile and iOS you can view photos in threads, but not attach new ones yet.

Step-by-step

1. Open a conversation in the Inbox.

2. Click the Attach (paperclip) button in the composer toolbar, at the bottom-left of the composer.

3. Pick one or more files. Each pending attachment appears as a chip above the message box showing its name and size — click the × on a chip to remove it.

4. Optionally type a message to go with the attachments.

5. Click Send. Photos appear inline in the thread; other file types show as downloadable attachments.

Limits

• Up to 10 attachments per message.
• 5 MB per file hard cap. Ody automatically transcodes oversized media toward carrier limits (roughly 600 KB is the safe delivery size), so large photos are resized rather than rejected by carriers.
• Only carrier-supported media types are accepted — common image formats (JPEG, PNG, GIF) work best.

Troubleshooting

• A file is rejected on upload — it's either over 5 MB or an unsupported type. Resize or convert it and try again.
• The photo sent but never delivered — some carriers are strict about MMS size and type. Try a smaller JPEG or PNG.
